Where can I learn directing and editing in a year?

I don't want to spend four years in college. I’m looking for an intensive school that covers cinematography, directing, and sound design through actual studio practice. Is there a place in Canada where I can get hands-on experience and industry mentorship quickly?

Honestly, if you want to skip the fluff, I’d suggest Vancouver Film School. I have a friend who graduated from their 12-month study program, and he’s already working on indie sets. It’s very fast-paced, but you learn the professional workflow from day one. You can find more info about the curriculum here. From what I’ve seen, it’s the best way to build a real reel fast!
